Wizzards won it, story in more depth!

Ok so after a long pitching session, we all agreed on a story with two wizards. I had originally pitched the idea as two good guys, who each play off each other and both fail, however my group preferred the idea of having the wizards as opposing moralities; Good and Bad. To off set these two extremes we now plan to have a neutral character to be the intermediary, and we are thinking an old man.

When this old man character was suggested, I immediately thought of the old guy from the Emperors new groove(reference below:)

Although changing the wizards changes the dynamic of the story, I am still excited to see how this story unfolds!

At the moment the story is outlined as follows:

A wizard wakes up and goes outside, he sees his mortal enemy and decides to play a trick on him. In playing the tick, he accidently destroys an old old characters house and both wizards get kicked out of town.

we are thinking that the wizards could be good and bad, and the old character will be neutral in our piece

More development is obviously needed, we will be putting a screen play together shortly, and then a storyboard and animatic!

My Ideas for Third Year

So the time has come to think about what we will do for our third year film! We wanted to get started as early as possible so we decided to pitch to our own group as soon as we had ideas. This group consists of Myself, Oliver Kane, Stephanie Joy, Joseph Henson, Nick Georgeou, and David Fish. We are all interested in different areas (aside from Joe and Nick who are both interested in Character Animation) So we all work really well as a team!

We will be having a pitch in the next day or so, and I will be pitching the following ideas:

The Gate:
This is a dramatic tale of a classic hero, who sacrifices himself to evil to save his town. The piece will be less cartoony and more styled to be alike to Framestore's Three Brothers. Reference below:

Wizzards:
I will also be pitching an idea to do with wizzards. This is a more cartoony tale of two heros, proving that two rights make a wrong! As a town is attacked by the natural occurrences of misfortune, two wizards battle to become the hero of the day, causing more havoc than was on the table before hand! This story would be of similar look and pace of Pixar's One Man Band. Reference below:
